Personal Security Issues

This concept refers to one of the four clusters of issues that would determine the relations between Israel and the Palestinian state.

Definition

The concept of "Movement and Personal Security Issues" pertains to the cluster of Israeli and Palestinian state-to-state relations in Permanent Status that require cooperation on combating terrorism and crime.

For example, Personal Security Issues include, among others:

  • External Perimeter - the security arrangements in the entry and exit points;
  • Border Regime - between Israel and the Palestinian entity;
  • Counter Terrorism - intelligence and operational cooperation; hot pursuit;
  • Law Enforcement;
  • Joint Roads - securing the joint roads including the safe passage;
  • Access to and worship in holy sites and the Holy Basin of Jerusalem.
